![]() Make sure you copy down the network devices advanced adoption credentials off the controller in case devices fail to readopt after the change. ![]() When everything comes back on line it should respect the ck static ip. Once that is saved you will loose connection, so you will need to restart all your devices including the CK, and if you are using a unifi gateway make sure you restart that also. After the restart, navigate to the CK in the network device menu, and in the CK settings tab select the static IP switch and set the IP address. After you adjust your network settings you will need to restart your CK and your attached devices (including the unifi gate way if you re using one) to make sure everything is provisioned with the new settings. Make sure you adjust your DHCP range so that you free up static IP’s out side the DHCP range. To set static IP, before you set the device to static once you have restored navigate to your network settings. Under console settings by default I believe it is off. The setting to allow SSH is in the unifi portal for the controller. To allow SSH you need to have or be the “owner” and use those credentials. This is a common issue so you are not alone… you will probably need to factory reset you UCK, just so you can plan that time.>. While, yes, I can log into the CK from a local computer at it's IP address, I would much rather manage it through the portal for remote access. It's connected to a separate switch on the network with my six Nano APs, and those are the only devices on that switch. An attempt to SSH results in a connection refused error. If I go to the CK's IP address in a browser on a computer on the same subnet, I can log in with those same credentials, which also work at the portal. If I try logging in at localhost through the network application, my login credentials are rejected. I changed it to static, and it immediately went offline, again, in the portal. Logged into the portal, and it was there. I did finally succeed last week after a factory reset and rebuilding parts of the network which the backup did not restore. My Cloud Key went offline sometime in July, and, with the help of UBNT support, I've been doing a two steps forward, one back since then trying to get it to come online reliably.
